The thing that shocked me most was the guy playing Widmore was doing a fake British accent, he was on Neighbours an aussie soap for most of my teen years, just looked him up on IMDB and see he has had a pretty decent career appearing on 24, Xfiles and the OC amonst other things (havent watched any of these).

So my new theory is that the Lost Island was setup by Harold Bishop when he dissapeared and had his memory loss, the Brits will understand.

Overall was a good finale but I dont think it answered as many questions as was expected, but can see its opened up the story to move things on in the next season.

my being one of the overly-obsessed fans ... let me get some of the references that were made that the other casual fans would've missed (i.e. the Hurley-bird).

I'm still trying to figure out if the fake psychic had a real vision or was just being used to get Claire on the plane.

Once he admitted he was a fraud, why should we believe his thing with Claire was real?
I'm not being smug, I'm really asking.

Wow, well spotted - that was Jim Robinson!

Harold probably had his memory erased to forget he married Madge!

I downloaded an excellent copy of the show and watched it again. Running time 1hr 26min. I think it was important for me to watch over again was the scenes between Desmond and Kelvin. Kelvin tries to reveal some big factoids in his early conversations. When he makes the statement he left the army and joined the Dharma Iniative he tries to act quite silly/nonsense.

I watched it twice, and there are few times a TV episode is so good that it solves and opens so many doors into a show's plot, and be very well directed at the same time. The photography in this episode was very cool.

All I can hope is that all characters will not be dead in the present day of the timeline of Lost.

klepton,

Right now I feel the same as I did at the end of Alias' third season -- after which, I didn't watch a single episode of the fourth or fifth seasons. I finally downloaded the series finale the other day, just to see how it turned out. I expect I'll be doing the same with Lost.
