Just thought it was interesting. Thoughts? [/ QUOTE ] The larger limit games 1k/2k and up have not been kind to dealers. Some of the players at all limits are a bit on the unsavory side, however when I play high I try to be kind and courteous to players and dealers. Some things you see or hear of, are a small sample of things that occur during a long session. For example T.V tournaments and high stakes poker episodes show someone lose their temper or act in a way that is not normal for them, because it is good television. The next point that is always brought up is the tipping factor. At high limit I keep a stack of redbirds to tip the dealers when I win a pot. I tip 10 to 25 for a dealer when their session ends if I feel they have performed their job very well. It is subjective, I may tip between 100-400 a session which I think is in line. My winrate at the very high levels is under 1bb/hr. I believe in tipping when the dealer does their job exceptionally. You would be surprised how many dealers expect 100+ dollar tps when they deal a monster. Maybe I am in the minority but I tip and tip well for good service not because I play high.

[/ QUOTE ] I don't know of or can't imagine any poker room that would tolerate habitual card throwing. In this day and age there are too many players and it would set in place a bad example to allow it. In my dealing career I have always felt it was the same thing as a disatisfied McDonald's patron throwing a bad hamburger back at you. It should be illegal to throw cards at a dealer anyway.

[/ QUOTE ] dealers who think they deserve a big tip for shipping a big pot are fking idiots. poker players make an hourly rate and many of these players getting shipped 20k pots are still down on the year. these dealers who think they deserve a green chip for a big pot are the same ones who hate poker players who blame them for when theyre losing. dealers shouldnt get heavily rewarded when they ship a bit pot nor should they have to take [censored] from the guy who lost the pot. they make a solid hourly rate of $20-$35/hr yet they think they deserve a piece of the wealth people have.

[/ QUOTE ] I hate those people and I'm not even a dealer. I couldn't imagine what it would be like to have to deal with that [censored] day in and day out. Frankly I do think they should keep a special set of dealers for the biggest games and the players should tip them very well to protect a game where one dealer error or mistep could cost them thousands of dollars.

I guess "hate" isn't the right word, more like "I think they are absolutely retarded and good for the game."
