Default Re: I have overdrawn money with Neteller, Firepay, and IGM Pay

Neteller: Will charge you $30 for each returned EFT. They will try (3)times. So you will owe neteller $90 + amount of each EFT. Have to pay this back before you can use insta-cash and any deposits/cashouts will be offset until you get back into the black.

Firepay will reverse the charges from the company you deposited to. Example, deposit $1000 to casino xyz. When the EFT doesn't clear firepay reverses charge to casino xyz. So you don't owe firepay but now you owe the casino. Not sure if they will charge you a fee.

IGM-Pay: I have no idea.

Bank: Closing the account won't help. If you have outstanding checks when you close the account they are still going to charge you a fee. They will try and collect and report you(Chexsystems, credit) if you don't repay them.

Best advice. Be upfront with everyone. They will work with you. All they want is there money. If you have to screw someone, go with firepay. They are getting there money back from the casino anyway. The casino is not going to come after you in any meaningful way. Maybe a few e-mails but thats about the worst of it.

Good Luck.

Well I did not close the account due to the Neteller's $300 hitting my account this morning. I paid it so I do not owe Neteller any longer. The two charges that I still have are $700 to IGM Pay and the $250 to Firepay. I thought I was taking the advice of posters who told me to close my account. So it looks as if I will be letting the other two hit my account and take the ISF charges. How should I contact Firepay and IGM Pay? I closed my Party accounts and let them know it was for problems with gambling addictions. They made it clear they would do everything to help me and that I would not be able to get an account there again for my sake. If Party owns IGM Pay I think me closing my account with them will help a great deal. I am not trying to weasel out on these charges I just need a few months to get right with them. I am interviewing for a second job tommorow to try and pay off my debts in a more timely manner. I have NEVER gambled before with money I could afford to lose. The first time I played online poker was when I needed money for an upcoming car payment and I did the worst thing possible, I won $2K in two weeks. The last year and a half has been a living hell in which I have pushed myself further into debt and farther away from a successful future. I am going to work my ass off and get these debts paid off so I can get back into college to get where I was supposed to be in the first place, a good job not chasing dreams trying to be Johnny Chan. DONT FOR ONCE TELL ME I AM NOT TRYING TO GET THIS ALL TOGETHER!

You're doing the right thing. However, if you want good advice from someone who is knowledgable and can help you, then call Gamblers Anonymous. Someone there can guide you through the recovery process (both mentally and financially). They know how to do it, because they've done it themselves. Most of us don't have a clue how to fix your problem, because most of us haven't done that. This is not a moral judgment against you... just the facts. You sound like you're really trying hard to make things right. Get with someone who can help you the most. Good luck, man. I hope it all works out and you do well in college where you feel you belong.

anyone with a job/decent credit can get 1300 in a day or two no problem.

You may get a sucky ass interest rate but that's not the point.

The bank will probably cover it and charge you a big fee (in addition to forcing you to pay the 1300 eventually)

You should feel proud you're owning up to what you did and not acting like a scumbag (by cheating, stealing, or other such nonsence). You might want to attend a local gamblers anonymous meeting even if you feel like you don't need it. Those people have been in your shoes before and can probably give you good advice.

I will admit that I suspected you planned this whole thing, and in the midst of gambling you probably did consider this your fall back plan if you lose, but you are taking care of it as you should. If you decide that you are not going to GA, do yourself a favor and commit to going if you EVER gamble again. NO pull tabs, scratch offs, NOTHING!

Good luck with school, and I hope I don't see you around here anymore.

Your most recent post says to me that you realize you made mistakes and want to make them right. I would suggest you slightly reword it and add a proposed repayment plan and send it to the affected sites very soon either through email and/or snail mail (I am not sure of the most effective means of communicating with these particular sites).

In a previous life I had outstanding account collection responsibilities. If you proactively contacted us with this post of yours and a proposed repayment plan of six months or a year that you promised to meet I would probably give you the time. If you waited until after we contacted you and gave the same response I would probably want a shorter repayment plan that we would set. If you totally ignored us you would be subject to whatever my bulldog of a collector could legally do.

So latest update.....I have Neteller paid. The IGM and Firepay transactions hit my bank account today for the first time. As soon as the transactions are sent back through a second time I'll get the money and pay the bank back. I sent an email to both Pay-Pro and Firepay explaining the situation. I did not submit a specific repayment plan to them because at this point I am so broke from the $1000 I owe to the body shop for my car and the $387 total I made yesterday to cover the Neteller charge. I assume the reason I cannot get a loan at all right now is because of my credit allowance to debt ratio as I have quite a bit of debt at this moment. In a month or two most of it will come off of my record as I have got into a debt consolidation program for my credit cards. I actually cannot wait to get a second job which after taxes will push my weekly salary up to around $450-$500 and should help tremendously. Bottom line right now I owe so many people so much money I can't sleep at night. Total I owe is around $8500 in unsecured debt, quite a lot for a 23 year old.

I just found a site online which for $49.95 they will guarantee you a personal loan. Kinda sounds odd to me but do any of you know about this? Anyone know where I can get a guaranteed loan for around $1500 or $2000 to pay this? Thanks again.

Don't get any more debt. And please don't send fifty bucks to an internet site. If you want to do the right thing, call the companies you owe and ask for a repament plan. Also, tell them to close your accounts, because you have a gambling problem, and see if there's a GA group in your area.

If you want to do the wrong thing, take care of your bank, and blow off Firepay and IGM. There's nothing they can do anyway.
