Pretty ironic. I normally read the mid stakes but thought "I'll check out the hi stakes and see if I can take my game to the next level."
This is the first post I read. |

I'd like to thank everyone for the responses I got, even if some of there were just sarcastic slaps in the face like calling me a little girl. On second thought I don't thank anyone for that because it did nothing to explain your point. Yes, I was playing higher than I normally do but I wasn't uncomfortable with the ammount of money on the table, I have played for those stakes before. I thought my fold was pretty terrible and did not get to see the cards as the CO folded to the mini-raise. To make it worse, the next hand I had QQ in a similar 5 way raised pot, came down Q 10 6, check to trap, CO from previous hand bets into it, Button raises all in, I call all-in, CO calls with 10-10 and catches the case 10 for quads and so I went almost broke on the next hand, took a 5 minute break, came back, hit a set of 4s and lost to a diamond draw. It was a rough stretch of 10 minutes and the 2-2 hand had me scratching my head all night more than losing top set. In any event, thanks for the responses.

Let's look at IF you called the 22 hand. Your stack is ~2k. You mentioned the CO was the same in both hands, so if he didn't rebuy before the QQ hand - you lose about 1/4th of your stack - still at $1500. But instead, that hand cripples you. The way the 22 hand played out... the ONLY reason I check that flop is if I'm going to CR all-in. As it turned out, you got a guy to fire at the pot and the original raiser to raise his JJ or QQ. You called 50 preflop to hit your 2, right? If he has 1010 or catches an overpair, so be it... I push. |
