I've spent almost a week shopping for a suit (in NYC) to no avail. Every suit I try on makes my frame looks "boxy". The jackets I try on might have the proper shoulder width, but the lapels tend to bludge out and the waist is way too big. Even tailoring will not get it to the correct dimensions without risking completely messing the suit up. Anyway, I went into H&M the other day and found one suit that fit my upper chest and another suit that fit my waist. I now know that I need a 41L Slim-Fit, but H&M didn't have any in stock and you can't order it online. I have been desperately searching for this size to no avail. I am willing to spend $500 on a suit that fits me well, but I can't find one. I've been to Macys, Men's Warehouse, H&M, and Banana Republic.
OOPers, I need your help! I need a suit! (I'm 20 years old and this is the first real suit I'm buying). Where should I go!? Thanks! |

Its called Google and its like, useful [/ QUOTE ] To repeat, every man whos not made of Money shops at Syms, its a discount suit/shirt store. You can also shop Madison ave and go for Mens Warehouse or Brooks Brothers. Up and down 5th too if you hate money. Macy's is where I got my last one. Geoffery Bean. Very nice and its not boxy alteast on me |

Cheap suits tend to look terrible, especially if you don't have a typical middle-aged male body type. You ought to look into how much you can get the suits you like most in your price range altered to fit you better. Also, I'm waiting for TT to weigh in here. scrub |

Make friends with one of the girls who work there, and she will show you the best they have to offer. Spend time in the "European designers" room, you can get a whole suit for less than $500. As an alternative, try Linus on Spring & West Broadway. Affordable German designs, same factory as Hugo Boss. TT |

syms is a legit answer. what they have in stock is always in flux, but you can often find boss, ferre and occasionally zegna suits. go there.
