WPX slows down or lags out when pokertracker is running, for me. Is there anyway i can fix this problem.

Fwiw, I often have the same problem. I'm using a postgreSQL database, and first started noticing problems when I imported pokerroom hands. After the pokerroom imports my pt in general seems less responsive, but the worst problems are with wpx.

Are you guys trying to run PT's internal Game Time window with WPX, or just PT? I get big slowdowns with the internal Game Time window. Trying to figure it out with Pat.

No, I'm not trying to run game time. I should also note that when it was importing poker room hands, it seemed like the little number that tells you how many you're importing was much higher than my number of hands, maybe in the thousands for each import.

Should this thread be moved to software?

It's not PT - Lag is normal for WPEX

No, I had a separate lag issue that occurred only when PT was importing and updated the internal Game Time window. Actually, it turned out I'd also get the lag without the Game Time window open when importing many hands and autorating at the same time.

But anyway, I think I've found a workaround. I went into the Windows Task Manager (it pops up if you have XP and hit control-alt-delete) and changed the priority level for WPX to High and the priority level for the Game Time window to Low. That seems to have done the trick. (Click the processes tab and right-click on the process you want to adjust.)

Pokertracker works on WPX? I didn't think it would because you can't download hand histories except by email. Do you have to do anything special to set it up?
