[ QUOTE ] All you duck haters should realize that I don't care about the facts. Just picture ducks the size of pigeons hanging out on street corners. [/ QUOTE ]yes, that would be excellent. Have you ever seen a Canadian Goose? [/ QUOTE ] No, but I've seen a Canada Goose. For some reason, it's incorrect to call them Canadian Geese. But you are correct about how they ruin parks. We have a bunch of soccer fields that are becoming unplayable because of them. The Parks Department is looking at possible solutions but none are cheap or easy. |

Toro: ![]() PULL! [/ QUOTE ] Haha. We do that. But it's only legal during season. The Parks Department actually calls 4 or 5 hunters and has them come in early in the morning to shoot them but it isn't enough to solve the problem. |

Baby Duck Update
About a week after I first saw the baby ducks, their numbers were down to three. Shortly after, there were only two. I have no idea what happened to the other two. The babies were sometimes harassed by the other adult ducks but I never witnessed one actually being physically attacked. The two surviving baby ducks are now a month old and much bigger. But, they can't fly yet and still stay close to their mother. There is also a new family. For the first time, I saw a new mother and her three babies. This mother was hyper-aggressive. She even chased away the two month old babies and their mother when I was there feeding them. There have been two couples who often stay secluded in parts of the Mirage pond towards the south. I think they may be protecting a nest of theirs. |
