The probablilty that Jeff got his job through nepotism is close to 1. It is obvious from his posts he not only lacks credentials to match his job, he is arrogant, pompous and probably needs a beating. I guess stock options can do that to numbered mediocrity. I wonder if he is Lee Jones' brother in law or cousin or if it is someone higher up at Stars.
However, the sense of entitlement in that thread is alarming. Yes TeddyFBI was wrongly accused, yes Jeff is an idiot, but none of us have a right to play there. It is their site, and as long as they aren't trying to defraud us, cheat us or steal from us, it's all commerce. We don't have a right to play there anymore than you have a right to sleep in my house or drive my car. If they want to refuse us service because they don't like our last name, or because we have the wrong color hair, or anything else arbitary (like some idiot 2nd cousin of the owners wrongly accusing someone of using a bot), it is their right to refuse us service. I am alarmed by the lack of critical thinking on this matter and have reached the conclusion that if any of you guys vote, your country is [censored]. |

Just my question? Is your mom referring to the SB or the BB?
Stars only has $.02/.04 and $.05/.10 LHE games. |

[ QUOTE ]
It is their site, and as long as they aren't trying to defraud us, cheat us or steal from us, it's all commerce. [/ QUOTE ] Quite so. It's like being kicked out of a casino because the pit thinks a player is counting cards in blackjack. Maybe the pit is right and maybe it's wrong, but they've got a right to decline your future business either way. Any decent bot-detection program will have a non-zero chance of producing false positives. As long as the site doesn't confiscate any money from a player's account without 100% proof, I'm not all that worried about it. The blackjack comparison brings up another point, though. When a casino bars someone, it never gives card-counting as the reason. That's too easy to deny. It just says "you're too good for us." I wonder if Stars should have done the same thing here. Instead of making a bot accusation, it could have just said "we're declining your future business for reasons of our own" and left it at that. Would that policy be better or worse, do you think? |

Well, one thing is for sure - they're never going to please the experts at 2+2.
If they seize accounts, they're stealing. If they don't seize accounts, they're rewarding cheaters. If they explain their methods, they render them less effective, and if they don't, they can't defend themselves. Maybe you're on to something, maurile. |
