2 Duke players arrested and bond set at $400,000.

Put the lying tramp in jail!

Oh, wait...

99% of all cases the DA takes to a grand jury result in indictments. This case is entirely about a woman who is trying to make some money and a DA who is trying to get himself re-elected on May 2nd. There is absolutely no way these kids get convicted of rape.

Sounds like someone has made up their mind pretty quick, and without seeing any actual evidence either! Either you have super mind reading powers, or you are going off your misogynistic and racial biases.

OK well...

[ QUOTE ]
"Nifong added that in 75 percent to 80 percent of sexual assaults, there is no DNA evidence to analyze."

[/ QUOTE ]

If that is true, than the lack of DNA evidence is not as critical as I once thought, right?

This statement:

[ QUOTE ]

[/ QUOTE ]

And this one:

[/ QUOTE ]

Have absolutely nothing to do with one another. If you are saying that most cases that end up in grand jury indictments don't end in conviction... uh thanks.

It will be interesting to see how this unfolds.

Ligastar - DNA test was conducted by state investigators. Unless there's some bias in the way the state handled it, I'm assuming these DNA tests are pretty legit.

What that means for the case, who knows.

The people in this thread who are taking all the defense's statements as total fact are unbelievable. Of course if you choose to blindly believe the defense then you are going to think the defendant is innocent. Are you people serious?

Or I was once falsely accused of rape and it has impacted the way I look at rape claims. Fortunately, I didn't have to deal with an overzealous DA who was running for re-election and desperately needed to get black votes.
