This is a very good point. I've only been following the thread for the past couple of weeks, but, yes, the time to raise an objection is not after the fact. No good reason why I didn't -- I just never seriously considered it.

This, however, is not a very good point. It's results-oriented thinking when you don't even know the results. It's not ok to screw with strangers for your own amusement, then justify it by saying that it doesn't seem to have done that much harm.
