[ QUOTE ] I liked Georgia/Auburn from earlier this year. USC/Texas and USC/ND are a toss-up IMO. I'd have to lean toward the Rose Bowl due to what was at stake. [/ QUOTE ] Not to mention all the USC hype as if they'd already won it giving Texas hardly any credit that they still had yet to play the game. b [/ QUOTE ] Because the media hates toothless redneck Texans? Duh. Leinart was such a baby after the game. "I still think we're the better team, they just made better decisions". Yeah, like not using your last timeout on Defense with 18 seconds left when only down by 3!? (IF their 2pt. conversion was successful). And also like, with 8 seconds left, on the 42 yard like, not going for a quick OB slant near around the 30, leaving a couple seconds on the clock for the kicker to maybe tie it? Instead let's run around and take 8 seconds off the clock, then toss it up near around the 20 yard line, right by the OB line. |

Um, I don't watch college football, but this game had some great things going for it.
1) It's the championship, which is important, and it involves, the top 2 undisputed teams in college football, and they're both undefeated. 2) Two Heismen trophy guys on one team, and the guy who felt he was cheated. As Sports Guy calls it, the Vengeance Factor. 3) One team coming in w/ something like the 4th longest win streak. Going for a 3peat. 4) And to top it all off, a great late game comeback by one of the marquee players. Edit: He had a 200/200 game, WHO DOES THAT?!?! What other game had all that? |

this game was a lot like the osu v. miami game in that both miami and usc came in billed as possibly best team ever.

I don't know what the line was in the OSU game, but I think the money line was pretty rediculous for a championship, something like +400 for OSU. |
