Does this mean that anyone who fits the criteria (essentially 10 years in the league) is automatically put on the ballot? I didn't realize that. It would explain DiSarcina's presence. I wonder which voter 'threw the bone' to Weiss. |

Of the first four then-active players mentioned in that article, two play for the Cubs, one spent much of his career there and is now retired, and they've been trying to trade for the other one for months now.
