5-10 6max stats - help me get back my confidence

Hi guys,

after some time of only playing other sites, I decided to give Pokerstars another try. Things went great at first (300 bb in 3 days), but after that I could not book one winning session and am down over 300 bb in less than a week.

I consistently beat that game game for over a year before I moved my play elsewhere (averaged 1.7 bb/100 over 180k hands) multitabling 4-6 tables.

Is this just a normal downswing or do you find anything wrong with my stats?

I don't see much out of line there. Probably need to raise PF a bit more. Maybe fold in the blinds a little bit more. It's probably just variance. What's you AF by street?

I would say PFR needs to be more like 18, and your VP$IP should be about 24, but apart from that cant see anything wrong with them.

These are only small changes, i would say variance has alot do to with this. I wouldn't say this swing is regulary gonna happen, might be a bad swing.

Would also be intrested in you AF post flop.

Steal a bit more, but I think it you could easily find someone with similar stats who is running at like 2+ for the same sample.

The other day I had a 300BB downswing at 5/10 short. I kept playing and have made all 300BBs back and some.

Variance is high in the short handed games. Keep playing.

As requested, here are my AF numbers:

Flop: 1.91
Turn: 2.06
River: 1.27

Total: 1.81

River seems too low, but that is probably because people have been hitting the river against me like crazy.

You need to bet and raise more on the flop. 2.5-3 is better here. You need to be more agressive on the river as well. should be closer to 2. Like 1.8 is good.

This sparked my interest a little bit. My AF numbers by street are
Flop - 3.68
Turn - 2.52
River - 1.46

Total - 2.67

Does that seem out of line? FWIW I'm 26/20

Flop AF does seem out of line to me. High flop aggression can hurt you as you move up limits IMO. As you face more aggressive opposition, it's often better to be more passive in general and on the flop in particular. At 5/10 and 10/20, you face people that are more willing to put in bets on multiple streets with air, semi bluffs, and SP type hands. The proper counter strategy is to take more passive lines when you unsure of whether you have the best hand and wait for the turn or river to raise when you confident in your hand to extract the most from marginal hands and air. At lower limits against more passive players or even in FR games, you can save bets by "raising for information" or otherwise taking a line that allows you to fold when beat without seeing your opponents cards. At higher limits, you can't trust your opponents bets and raises to that extent. Therefore, you have to take more lines that allow you to SD. A high flop aggression factor can also mean that your not peeling enough flops. This is something I struggle with. In general, I think becoming more passive is one of the hardest things that a player needs to do in there transition to high stakes because it requires good read based play.

Quite low I'd say.. maybe you are calling down too many 2nd best hands or improper draws?
