By reading what happened (thanks ESPN for showing the ineptitude that was Benfica-Barca), it sounds like Arsenal dominated that game. Viera got booked and is out for the 2nd leg. It looks very good for Arsenal.

BTW, does anyone have the link for the site that webcasts soccer games from around the world?

Vieira was awful. He got nowhere near Arsenals midfield. Arsenal could well have won by more and Juventus finished with 9 players if you didn't know

hey, Benfica-Barça was a great game.
We should start an official Champions league thread, see if there are enough football fans around here to get a decent discussion going.

I'm not saying that the game wasn't good to watch, because it was very entertaining. But with Eto'o missing from point blank, Deco whiffing in front of net, and Benfica's GK (Moretti?) doing everything but escorting the ball in the net, it left a lot to be desired.

If the only games I get to watch are CL games, I guess I just want to see nice finishing.

interesting fact: the portuguese channel that was broadcasting the game named Moretto best player of the match.

He did have a better 2nd half, but most of the saves he made were hit directly at him if I recall correctly. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong.) This was the same man who picked up a backpass, almost whiffed on a slow roller with Ronaldinho in his face, and gave up possession (to Larsson, I believe) in the box. If he's player of the match, that's not saying much for the other 25 or so men on the pitch.
