I haven't played on party poker in quite some time, and I haven't played 25nl in probably at least a year. My brother wants to start playing poker, and I wanted to show him how easy it was to beat these games. I jumped on only two tables and played ultra LAG for one hour and then quit.
My stats across the two tables: 62/41/15 for 131 hands BB/100 = 203.40 (about 4 buy-ins in an hour). Talk about punching babies. I honestly felt bad afterwards. Needless to say my brother is going to start playing. I don't know if the 50nl is any different on party, but it was quite easy to know where I was, get people to play back at me when I had the goods, and mix up my game to utterly confuse them. I also showed a LOT of cards. You 25nl guys should be crushing this game.... |

You ran good. [/ QUOTE ] Na. I got them to play back at me, or tell me exactely where they stood. I had crap cards the whole time. My best hand was a pair of queens. There's a point somewhere in this post, I was debating on posting the whole session for SSNL players to learn. I dunno... I'm not playing nl25 again anytime soon. |

You might have outplayed them by a lot, but nothing close to 200 BB/100. I'm willing to bet a few thousand dollars that you can't maintain that rate, or anything close. If you can't average 100 BB/100, then most of your win was due to luck. Much of the luck in poker consists of hoping that your opponent gets dealt garbage and misses his draw, but then has a decent second-best hand when you have a monster. It's easy to ignore what your opponent has, and pretend that the pots you win (and their sizes) are all due to your skill. |
