Default AQ getting cr on turn

Co seems to be pretty decent.

Can i find a fold somwere in the hand? Is checking behind on the turn to induce a riverbet a better line here against a tight aggressiv player?

I'm probably folding on the river. If he is a decent player the turn c/r is a K or sometimes a diamond draw. If it was a draw he got there, and I don't think that a decent player is making this play with an A with worse kicker.

I don't mind the check behind if you have a note or have successfully induced bluffs from him before. You are likely WA/WB on the turn and you might pick up a bet by checking and getting him to bet some air on the river. That play is pretty player dependent though, and usually I am betting the turn.

I guess the call on the river is reasonable. If you call the turn you, you pretty much have to call the river getting 10-1. I'm feel sure that I am beat, but am I +90% sure...nope.

gehrig - good point and its makes sense. Don't you think that inducing a bluff is kind of icing on the cake though? i.e....you don't want to be c/r'ed, but a check behind on the turn and a call on the river only loses 1 bet when villain has a K, and gains a bet when villain bluffs after missing a flush. is this line of thinking correct or am fundamentally thinking about these situations the wrong way?

thanks for any insight.

what type of range do you put a "decent" villain on here? After your last post in the thread I'm having trouble reconciling it with the argument to check through unless a K is a very large part of villain's range.

Yeah always check, always get shown KQ when you call his river bet. Laugh and move on.

if he has a flsuh draw betting turn is better

if river blanks and u bet turn u always get a bet. if he misses and u chk turn u only sometimes get a bet. if he crs turn with a flush draw u also make lots of sklanskybux

if he has a broadway gutshot u would much rather chk turn than have him fold to a turn bet tho
