Hand 1 - reraise preflop enough to represent a big pair. Fold if villain pushes preflop. I don't like calling and playing multi-way with Dreamer behind you. Get Dreamer out of the hand and go heads up w/ initiative vs SB.
Hand 2- Make a continuation bet at the flop. Give up if he calls and bets the turn. Your QQ still might be good heads up with the K on the flop. You have only 2 outs to improve. So bet to win vs hands you beat, and to find out if QQ is no good and cut your loses otherwise. As played, the A hit him if the K didn't, so you can fold. But what if the turn was a low brick and he bets? At that point, he could be betting any pair, any draw, a weak king, or anything that would have folded to a cb on the flop. |

1. This was not an aggressive player so aq aj are out of his range. I don't even think tens are there so he has ak,jj-AA, so I guess the best I can hope for is a low flop and he has ak or overcards to his pair.
2. I think the way the hand played he had ak,KK,or AA because if he has JJ-10's the ace would look like my card after I checked flop |

hand 1: check the turn? i'm going broke here if i am gonna bet the turn
hand 2: fold obv. betting the flop looks pretty terrible unless there were very specific metagame reasons. |

1. You say he's not aggro, so it seems AQ isn't a likely hand, as you said. If you're daring enough, you could even raise his flop bet to see where you are. But calling to probe on the turn isn't a bad move either. It's an obvious fold there; check-raise usually equals death. The way the hand was played, it looks like QQ.
2. No cont bet? You have position on him as well, which is great. Take advantage of the check and bet once again, to see where you are. Checking gives virtually no info. I doubt he had KK or AA there, because he would have reraised you preflop if he were a decent player. AK, I don't think either, since he didn't bet the flop. My guess is that he sensed weakness on the flop, and either hit an A or bet the A scare card on the turn with a weaker hand. |

Well, if you have ak, aa or kk its kind of standard to call preflop, checkraise flop. Maybe not standard but pretty close. I took initiative with the rr and so I get checked to.
