Stats post - 50,000 hands at Party 5/10
Definitely looking for some insight. I'm running at 1.2BB/100 after 50k hands, and that is with 2 200+ BB downswings (see the graph-is that normal???).
Comments are greatly appreciated!

from #25 to #30 you went from 540BB to 330BB = 210BB downswing
In the 2nd one you went from about 615BB to 350BB = 265BB downswing They are both significant downswings. But neither is over 300.

yeah. i just looked at the graph.
16/8 is pretty tight. He defends his BB vs. a steal an adequate amount but is getting killed overall in the BB imo...so perhaps calling the steal-attempt but then letting go on the flop too much when perhaps it is his for the taking. Party 5/10 full is not exactly a LAG fest much of the time. Also I noticed that VP/PFR stats are virtually identical through the first 5 positions. PFR goes up for the last 2-3 positions...but VP is virtually the same throughout. Obviously you should be playing more hands from LP than you are from EP but he doesn't appear to be doing that. It's not a huge sample of course...but 1.2BB/100 is still a 'win'-rate (as opposed to a 'loss'-rate) so nothing to be embarassed about.

[/ QUOTE ] Thanks for pointing this out. I have the same problem, I think. I know that I've been feeling uncomfortable in the blinds since moving up to 5/10. I think that a slightly bad run at the beginning of December has made me too passive in these spots. I just looked at my stats and I'm losing slightly more than the OP out of the blinds. Maybe it's time to try out the 1/2 6max to get myself more comfortable in these situations.

[/ QUOTE ] It would seem to me that GretasGun is playing a Phil Hellmuth-type recommendation of top few hands only, from any position, in an unraised pot, to the end. If this is the case, GG should bottle and sell the full system, as it certainly seems to work.

I only play 6-max, but for full ring that is pretty standard I think.
