BTW, Korean BBQ's seem like a very simple restaurant to run. You dont need much in terms of utilities in the kitcheen. Most of the side dishes can be kept over night. I dont know how popular these are outside of California and NYC???

That is truly awesome. What's it taste like, what's it comparable to I mean?

Soju is comparable in taste to cold sake. It gives some gnarly hangovers although it has half the alcohol content as vodka. I have a love/hate relationship with it, as most Koreans do.

I just realized why it is so awesome to live in Korea. You can eat as much Korean food and kimchi as you want and not have to worry about how you smell. That rules.

for the uninitiated, stick to tangs. chigaes and gooksoos are far more adventureously flavored. but sullung tang and the aforementioned ssam geh tang will be right up your alley.

i bet sam geh tang is relatively good for you too. at least that's what my mom always said.

but go ahead and order the kalbi if you want it, there's no shame. i'm korean and go into korean places just for kalbi and bulgogi all the time. it's fookin good.

"Have you tried Singaporean food?"

What do you mean? I dont think there is really a "Singaporean meal" is there? There is either Malay food, or Chinese food, right? Ive been to Singapore several times. Ive found alot of the food there good, but below average compared to the rest of Asia.
