Default Questionable cbet and now I\'m confused.....

Villain is pretty decent 20/18/2, Sb was a tightish player

SB ($180.60)
BB ($100)
UTG ($160.02)
Hero ($96.85)
CO ($50)
Button ($108.69)

Preflop: Hero is MP with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.5.
UTG calls $1, Hero raises to $5, 1 fold, Button calls $5, SB (poster) calls $4.5, 1 fold, UTG folds.

Flop: ($17) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $10, Button calls $10, SB folds.

Turn: ($27) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)

Whats my line on the turn? and how do you play a river A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] with your line?

While we're at it if any one wants to suggest alternate flop lines I'm all ears as well.

I bet $20. Too much too little?
Villain pushes? fold?

hypothetical scenario:
Villain calls river is an A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], whats your line?

I like the $20 bet, but I fold to a push. You're getting about 2:1, but with only 8 outs to win from a set you must be hoping that he is on a draw in order to call.

If the river is Ac I check to induce a bluff. We cannot extract much value from KJ,QJ and missed draws, but lose big to AJ or better when we bet.

Tufat,

you're saying we open push our last $61 into the pot right?

I agree I think a value bet is a poor idea. Its either an open push or a check to induce a bluff. I really think KJ and QJ are a larger part of villains range than a draw, also I don't think KJ or QJ value bet the river with an A showing so I'm leaning towards a push (ie. make it look like I whiffed my draw). However, would KJ or QJ call $61 more into a $67 pot with an A on the river? I'm not saying they won't but is this a better line than trying to induce a bluff.

I like checking more than open pushing, but my style is a bit nitty so I don't expect to be called by a decent player with KJ or QJ. So I guess it depends on your table image.

Range for button? Are you trying to get value from a flush draw or fold a jack?

I bet $14-15 on the flop and fire again on this turn, open shove A river.
