Default Check-raise vs. Lead/3-bet

I have no clue when to choose to use either of these. Obviously it should be based on pot sized raises correct? If I get raised I wanna be able to come over the top with lead/3-bet. If I'm not as deep I check-raise all-in instead of 3-bet all-in. Correct? Can someone gimme examples or tell me where I'm off?

Your post is horribly written. I tried to answer it but chouldn't tell if I was answering your question or not.

Is your opponent more likely to bet or to raise? If both are equally likely, then your proposal sounds correct.

Hey man... I'm a business major. I think that says enough about my writing skills... Lemme try to clarify.

For example I hold 5c6c I have 300 left in stack

Flop is Ad8c4c
Pot is 100

If I have an either/or decision, I would clearly choose CR all-in because I'm not deep enough to 3 bet all-in. But if I have 1200 then it becomes more possible to 3-bet all-in.

Also, I'm kinda shaky on when I should be check-raising. I've check-raised successfully before, but I get FPS and have tried to get away from it. Where are the legitimate spots to utlize this? Any good threads or articles on the net, possibly a book?
