with all the reported viruii, please tell me what this is..

No need to worry. The site destination is playerlogin's uni research server (despite the .net instead of .edu) -- I think he's doing a study of PC use cases among home PC users and is conducting a bunch of random samples in order to gather enough raw data before normalizing.

interestingly, something simliar was happening when i was going to ebay.com yesterday. they had some flash script on their main page and i was getting a notification that said something along the lines of "an error occurred in a macromedia file, running this file may slow your computer down. would you like to terminate it?" and then id go to click yes and my whole computer would freeze up for about 10 seconds and it would ask me the same question again and again and again. i had to end task my mozilla application to get it to stop. a few hours later i went back to ebay and it did the same thing to me again.

If you're really concerned about a virus, do the following:

(1) Download HiJack This available at:

http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/

This software will list all programs that run when you start your computer.

(2) Do a System Scan, and look through the list. Any ones you are scared of at all, simply type the name into google.

For example, you see:

C:\Program Files\WinUpdate\winupdate.exe

Google winupdate.exe and BOOM! Tells you it's a trojan, and usually how to take care of it.

Or any you're concerned about, feel free to PM me your HiJackThis log and I can look through them.
