You can't play good poker unless you are comfortable with losing the money that you've put up. Even if you could find 6 pros that could bankroll themselves, there is no way they would because they are all smart people who realize that a bad beat would put them in the poor house and they could not escape some hands they are involved in.

I've been told by a few older gentleman that have known Doyle for 50 years (I live in Texas, and, the poker scene is a pretty tight knit group as far as the undeground clubs that have reputations go), and one of them told me in confidence that Doyle was probably worth around 100 million.
So, no, he doesn't have 100 million to blow, but, he is probably the richest poker player ever, with Chip Reese being a very close second.
