This is a correct play if the table has been active. Players min raising/raising etc. If the table has been 7/8 callers/limpers then you would need to raise it.
No matter what way you played this hand QQ was always going to reraise you thus allowing you to get it in Pre Flop plus you had the AQo totally dominated for an extra 33% of chips.
Just a pity they did not hold up.
