There is NOTHING in Central Australia. Once you go to Ayers Rock for a day you will be bored out of your mind. If you are going to be in one place I would have reccomended Cairns but I am not sure how they are doing after that recent storm. I've heard the rainforests in the north and Perth are both nice. The Gold Coast could be fun too.
