Default Re: Biggest MTT comebacks

I had that table open and saw that whole thing unfold. It was as crazy to watch as I am sure it was to actually play.

I busted out sixth in a small(for most of you ) event over at Tribeca, a 3K guarantee. I stick around to watch it play out. When it gets heads up the chip leader has about a 17 to 1 chip lead. Having played with him a few times I wonder if that is enough. As it turns out it isnt. With the short stack having just over 2 blinds the leader open folds his small blind. Now the shorty moves in next hand and the chip leader types something ridiculous like "T8 gh" and folds getting better than 2-1 to possibly end the game.
It still is a massive lead though, until the big stack decides to push A2 two hands later and gets called by A9. Game on. The chip leader goes into calling mode apparently now trying to just end it. And shortly afterwards it ends- with the heads up shorty winning.
The most amazing thing wasnt the comeback size. It was the fact the leader may not have played a single hand correctly once they got heads up. And the entire comeback only took about 10 minutes total.
