Default Re: HU play

My advice is to play lots and lots of HU sngs. Since I started doing this, my confidence (and my bankroll) has never been higher.

I got HU tonight in a $20 mtt, and started at a 1:3 chip disadvantage (although I was still 25 bb deep). Once I had whittled my opponent down so he had only a 2:3 lead, he switched to a push or fold strategy that negated my postflop advantage (IMO a very smart adjustment).

Once he switched to push/fold mode, I was fortunate enough to pick up 2 big hands to take it down. Had this not happened, he reverted to being the favourite just by virtue of his stack size.

Point being:

1) If you think you are outmatched switch to push/fold mode
2) Don't accept mediocrity. Practice HU matches.

Hope this helps...
