Once you set up your rules, you'll probably have to do a batch icon update on everyone in your database. Then moving forward, what you can do it check the box that says "Auto rate players when importing hand histories". Then PT will automatically update the icon when you import new hands for that player.
You can't get it to auto-update notes I believe, you have to export your notes file once in awhile to get the updated icon in your notes.
