Default Re: Should I have made a blocking bet?

First clean up the HH before posting ie remove all the coloroff etc so that basically moves, pot and cards are left.

One should not start of seeing monsters every where.

But to clear up your mind I would c/r this flopp.
With just one over and a 3 suited board it is just as scary to anybody else.
A c/r at least lets you in on how much he likes his hand
If you turn passive on this flopp its an invitation to have the pot stolen.
Basically I would lead as first choice, and c/r as a second against an unknown.I dont fold this.

Remeber he cant see your hole cards!
And he limped into the pot.
He could easily be on a draw, hold some A, basically any thing, but rarely superstrong
You should already be giving this some consideration on flopp. Will I continue with my agression or not. If you show weakness someone will more often then not exploit it.

You chose a very weak line given no read, there are times to let the opponent bet the pot for you, this was not one.

The turn check behind from him is too not excactly strong

I would instacall the riverbet, might even raise it at times. But since I know little about my opponent yet I`d pay to learn a little more and I think a fair number of times you win this pot.

Fold more often then you raise, but raise more often then you call in general.
