Also, I think Lem bears a fair amount of responsibility for his own death. With the stakes that high, he really should have just layed low and stuck with the plan. Getting the cops on trail by going to investigate that crying kid, then trying to cut a deal to turn himself in through that lawyer was very stupid. He put everyone else at risk.

He was going to jail until the night before he was supposed to turn himself in. Thats when Kavanaugh turned up the screws on Twon who then called off his deal to protect Lem.
