In Rothbardland, you better believe I'll not only be buying the rights to all works in the public domain

[/ QUOTE ]

What public domain?

[/ QUOTE ]

The works which currently exist in the US public domain -- when Rothbardland comes to fruition, I'll be having my lawyers write up copyrights and patents to whatever is currently public domain which clearly grant me proprietary interest.

And why should any of us go along with your scheme to own the alphabet? Don't bother threatening, we've got guns and security companies too.

[/ QUOTE ]

Then let's go to war. I've got industry and turf to protect. Stuff like that never makes people behave irrationally, even if it comes at the expense of their trade (see: unions).

[/ QUOTE ]
You have no "turf" when it comes to the alphabet. The alphabet isn't a scarce resource. And I'm fairly sure the number of people who wish to continue using the alphabet outnumber you. You think you can really convince people to go die so that you can own the alphabet? Because I don't. I especially don't think you can convince them to take on the rest of AC-land. Hope you like Antartica!
