house games are technically considered a form of "common betting house" by part 7 of the criminal code, and common betting houses are lumped in with common gaming houses and brothels under the category of "disorderly house".
Just being in, or owning, a disorderly house can earn one up to two years in jail.
However, the only times I've ever heard of house poker games being taken down as common betting houses are when they have been high stakes games run by gangs (lol I know a guy who got nailed in a 15/30 PL game).
