I've looked into the legality behind it, In Canada and sort of home poker is technically illegal. That being said, the only time a poker game has ever been busted around here has been high stakes games run by local gangs.
I would likely developed my initial player base from current players at me local casino. Players have mentioned home dealing to myself and other members of the dealing staff before, but we usually shy away form the topic because if caught we would lose our dealing licenses (not really an issues if I'm not working in casino). The time isn't a big issues for me, I regularly deal 11-13 hour shifts (for way less than $500/night), 8 is actually a pretty short night, lol
