I'm lazy. Months are usually $3kish minimum, when I actually decide to grind (which isn't too often) they are like $5k-$8k I guess. And I'm still at 200NL because I spend like 80% of what I make on random crap.

$500 rent to my dad. $400 on phone, internet, gym, store card bills. The other $1500 or so goes on food, DVDs, clothes, drinking, trips, holidays etc etc. I don't think $2.5k-$3k is particularly unreasonable tbh (obviously I could cut down a lot if needed).
