I have no idea if he is smart enough to know that his cold-call in the BB looks a lot like KQs, AQ or 88. This combined with the fact that he can (a) get rid of UTG and (b) that board is bad news for lots of hands in heroes range make his initial flop play totally fine.

Once UTG cold-calls, the jig is up. UTG has played his hand like he has Ax of diamonds, or a pair. He called 2 bets the first time around, he sure as hell ain't folding for 2 more when the pot is bigger the second time around.

Capping the flop is retarded. Calling preflop defies description.
