Though it may not seem immediately obvious to you, an astute villain will pick up on this every time and from this point on you are playing your hand face up.
Your unpaired suited diamonds have not hit this flop, and villains pocket nines are well ahead of your offsuit 8x and are dominating your 97. Now consider your villains raise size - $21. Did you notice that you have blackjack? Villain is giving you so many crucial clues in this hand that you are just ignoring - he's just TOLD you his hand, and yet you raise over the top?
