Default Re: *** Official WPT Final @ Foxwoods ***

Here's my report on $2K. Had 130K at 8 PM break with 50K average stacks. Was atleast in top 5 in tournament. Actually lost a few chips in bubble period. Could not steal, as people wanted to see flop and thought I was raising loose with big stack. Did get in some resteal and limper pwn plays. Got moved to table with a lot of big stacks and stevejpa on my left at the bubble. Busted out shortly before adjourned for night.

At 100/200/25 level, old guy raised to 700 in mid position and next player calls. I had seen him raise a suited gapper, and decided to reraise to 3K with 99 and 10K chips. Old guy calls and other player folds. Flop is J63r. I push, and he folds KK face up.

Went from 50K to 85K by busting woman player who said she had won 4 ME seats and was apparently a local pro. She raised from mid position and I called in the SB with 87s. I flopped top pair and she flopped a draw. I had seen her raise 62o on the button and some other stuff and figured I was ahead. Had annoyed her earlier by twice asking her to put her big chips in front.

Greek building contractor two to my left from the beginning until the bubble was calling all my raises throughout. He seemed to be a loose player and fearless. Lost a pot to him near the bubble when he flat called my mid position A6o raise with KK. Flop was monochrome and I pushed with nut flush draw and overcard and he won the flop. He doubled up again going allin on the flop with a set versus guy with British accent's open ended straight flush draw. With that he went from short stack to table leader.
