Re: What we mean when we say online poker is Rigged
I don't know if it's rigged - it may be. As we have seen with Absolute, cheating of all kinds can and does occur. Obviously, if it was impossible to cheat online, there would be no "Gaming Associates" or Kahnawake Gaming Commission. They would have no purpose for existing.
However, out of the millions of people who play poker online, why would they pick on you personally to be the table loser? I'm no statistics genius, but I've compared my pokertracker stats with expected win percentages, and my stats essentially mirror the textbook expected percentages.
I do know that I'm happy with how I play the game, and I feel that my play is better than ever. I do not win every session I play, but for each of my last 5 sessions, I'm up 10% at the end of each session. That's consistency. I won't say that I can necessarily maintain that every single day, but I'm happy that, for now, I seem to have struck the right strategy.
So even if people are cheating, my play is sufficiently good that they aren't making anything off of me.
Suffice it to say that if you believe online is rigged, don't play online.
