I am interested to see this investigated. As far as I can tell from reading these threads (and I suspect I'm reasonably up-to-date on everything) there was not even the pretense of any investigation into this claim.

I visited the 2006 WSOP and paid a buck for popcorn at the AP booth. (I wanted to watch the end of the World Cup game on their big TV.) I don't remember if there was a notice posted or if they told me as I bought it that the buck would go to charity.
Does anyone have a photo? Without some sort of evidence that they were claiming this money would be given to charity, I don't see what a call to the Vegas police would accomplish.

I grabbed a kernel as I was walking past and the girl started yelling at me for contaminating the whole bag. She seemed serious, so I gave her a dollar. The event confused me. Then I went back inside to play pokers. Which also confused me.
