Beer snobs hate on it, because it's an over-rated beer. Having a palette that can objectively rate beer is a very uncommon thing. It's something I've been working on, but don't think I'll be able to master anytime soon.
You'd be surprised how strongly influenced most people's taste for beer is decided by things other than the taste of the beer (marketing/environment/presentation etc).
