Be thankful you got to chop the pot. You should have lost the whole thing, even if by mistake. The house does not take responsibility for hands mucked inadvertantly.

Looks like the dealer forgot about the limper.
I can't see a house doing anything but splitting the pot here. Even though he should've protected his hand better, the house giving the pot to the limper when one of their employees screws up doesn't usually sit well with anyone at the table.
