dbz: a lot of guys are thinking longterm right away...a lot of women too, I think. It's like some weird compulsion where you overthink stuff cating yourself far into the future of a relationship, assuming you know where it's going. It's just as immature as the opposite: jumping into everything without logic or forethought with people who clearly aren't right for you.
Balance imo. Don't ignore actual warning signs, but also don't pretend to know how a relationship is going to go before you start rambling down that rose. It helps if you know that the other person feels the same way.
