That line was money.
I think most of the "omg worst ever" simply cannot get over the fact that there are people in caveman outfits on the screen. It's really jarring and as even the people who like the show have pointed out,totally unecessary.
If this show was called "3 guy in LA" it might not get noticed, but nobody would be acting like the show was trying to crawl out the TV and murder them Ring style.
