Crossing the line does not determine a bet, raise or fold.

Room depending.

My room, it's it's ruled a bet.

Betting lines suck.

As far as it being considered a fold? Usually it isn't, but it's much more subjective.

Bernie - even in your room the line is a primary measure but not an absolute measure. They will allow other factors to weigh a decision, consider it like the muck - everyone thinks its magical but in reality cards can be fished out if its in the best interest of the game and the cards can be determined.

TT, what is your personal opinion of the scenario? Are you saying your call would be that which apparently is the std ruling (at this point)? After everyone at the tbl hearing the villain say "I had you til the [censored] river" and flipping his cards up over the line (which he obv assumed was muck, nobody just throws cards randomly away from them when they're calling) can you honestly ship Villain the $?

Yes. This isn't a moral issue, its a standard ruling.

As a side note if the hero continued to harp about the ruling and it interfeared with the game I'd ask the hero to leave. I'm 100% positive that the Casino Control/Gaming Board/Whatever its called in CT would agree with the ruling.
