I will never buy a desktop again. But they are definately a better deal.

As for a 17in ws on a laptop. Ya, its pretty big, but i'm not one of those people who wants a tiny laptop that fits in their pocket because they take it everywhere. I took it to class sometimes and anytime I travel and its no heavier than a 3-4 yr old laptop anyways. Since I dont have a desktop having a nice screen is a must. And I can 9 table with negligble overlap.
