3 days rest just is such a gamble, even if its CC. Another option is to start Byrd, if he gets into trouble, put CC in, and start Fausto tomorrow.

Right, but the idea is that both Carmona and CC are very very good. I am not going to quite call them equal, but they are both far better than anyone else the Indians could put in.

So in one scenario we have Byrd / CC (full rest). In the other we have CC (short rest) / Carmona (full rest). I don't care if CC is overweight and delicate, scenario two has to give the Indians a better shot to win than scenario one.
