If you mean 'reasonably expect' to mean that they win money more often than they lose money, then yea, OBVIOUSLY no split can leave the backer 'reasonably expecting' a profit. But why would you say that even a great palyer couldnt make it a +EV investment w/ 75/25 split? the player doesnt need an absurd ROI for this to happen..
that said, i think lotss of backers give too good of deals.
