He is not tricky enough to rep a "costly mistake". he's ok with the ruling because he's a nice guy - flexible, to take the pot down or raise either way, he's OK with that. He really cares about $10K buy-in or satellite in but he knows he has the best hand.
Remember,
He's straightforward, nice and no experience . You have to be straightforward (NOT BEING TRICKY) to read him well.
Edit:
On the other hand, If he's very upset about the ruling, you call or go all-in.
