Re: quick question about talking during a hand..

so to get it straight when someone is behind to act just keep the mouth closed.

Close, but no banana.
Don't say anything at all.
The reason is that somebody may not see the value of his/her hand. This happened just the other day with me at a 15/30 game. A single 9 or K made a straight, and at the end in a big pot between three players it was bet call raise call fold. Raiser had two pair, caller just showed his top pair of aces and was about to muck, when the folder groaned that he had a 9. Guy with the ace paused and checked his kicker and scooped.
Now, I'm a fan of the best hand winning (as it is online), but as with other things online (such as being able to see all the hands at showdown), it doesn't carry over to live play. And on that note, please never ever EVER ask to see a mucked hand. Just STFU, really.
Why do you need to say something? Are you trying to convince people that you're a better player than they are so that they play smarter against you? How is this even remotely +EV?
Also, make sure you act quickly, and don't stack your chips in the 10 or 1 seat in such a way that the delaer has a problem pitching cards around them.
