No matter what route you take, she's never coming back again. If it's an anonymous note, or if you hire someone to tell her, she's going to be embarrassed and not want to come back at all. While this may be a good thing for your nose, is it a good thing for the pockets?
I can't see any way to get out of this situation without losing the customer.
